Closure

Then one morning you open your eyes and see it all so clearly

It’s bright and sunny, and you see all the beauty around you

You embrace all that you have in your life, and you don’t care about what you don’t have yet

You know you will get where you need to as long as you don’t stop working toward it

You know you will have all you need when you need it, and you have what you need now

Then the clouds come and you see them just as clearly

You see your pain past, present, and future

You feel it all at once and how it has shaped so much of you

Then the rain comes and your tears fall as you step outside and let yourself become drenched

But these are not tears of defeat and of the endless dark tunnels you once knew

These are tears of self-embrace, of realization, of seeing where you were, where you are, where you are headed

You see it all, you feel it all, and you know what you need to do

Closing doors and opening new ones

Letting go of some things and holding on to what you have that helps you

All falls into their proper categories effortlessly

Your tears dry and you taste nature on your lips

You lift your arms above your head and embrace the energy all around you

Closure coming at its due time
